Live for Lagoon x Sound of Life

We are proud to present our latest episode in our series in collaboration with Sound of Life. Oscar Jerome returns to Mahogany with a stunning version of ‘Far Too Much’.

This one was so fun to shoot! Oscar Jerome brought the whole gang down for this version of ‘Far Too Much’ and it’s just got so much good energy. ‘Far Too Much’ feels like a warm ray of sunshine in this rainy weather, with notes of Latin guitar alongside two sets of percussion, gorgeous bass and lovely back vocals.

Check out Oscar’s interview over on the Sound of Life channel below as well.

On top of the amazing Oscar Jerome performance, we are also proud to present to you all, our latest session before that, featuring Malady.

Malady have carved out their own distinction sound of the city they were raised in: London. Listening to their latest EP ‘All Pressure, No Diamonds’, you can hear the slices of punk, dub, indie and electronic music that infuse the Malady sound. It feels akin the early days of Bloc Party or Young Fathers, in terms of an early pioneering group of friends doing things entirely their own way – and we’re here for it.

Also be sure to check out their interview below as well.

So far, we have had the pleasure of working with SOFY, Marie Dahlstrom, Col3trane, Deyaz and edbl, on live sessions for this series – be sure to check those out below – with many more exciting artists to feature in upcoming episodes.

The series is in partnership with Sound of Life, a community blog exploring all things within the world of sound.

Filmed in various captivating locations across London, these sessions showcase 12 of the most remarkable artists of our time, spanning both emerging talents and established icons, all masterfully captured in the signature Lagoon style.

Lagoon x Sound of Life embraces an eclectic range of genres, ensuring a spread of sounds across Jazz, Soul, RnB, Folk and beyond.
